Christina Prete

Christina Prete is a lifelong Milford resident and graduate of Jonathan Law High School. She earned both her MBA and bachelor's degree (Marketing) from Fairfield University. She has been a volunteer for numerous organizations throughout Milford for most of her life. For 13 years she was a member of the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross, 11 of them with the Milford Chapter and 2 with the CT/RI Chapter. Her involvement with Milford Public Schools dates back to 2006 when she became involved as a parent with every school that her children attended. She has held PTA/PTO officer positions at Calf Pen Meadow, Harborside, One Voice, and PTA Council. She was a part of Dr. Feser's Superintendent's Parents Advisory Council and was named Parent of Year for Calf Pen Meadow in 2014 and Harborside Middle School in 2016. She was a Girl Scout Leader for her daughter's troop for 6 years and from 2012 to 2022 she was a member of the Board of Directors of the Milford Education Foundation. She enjoys opportunistic volunteer opportunities that arise around Milford and has volunteered with such organizations as Milford Rotary, Boys & Girls Club of Milford, the MAC, the Beth-El Center, Charles Island Reforestation, and All In For Milford with a focus on helping those in Milford who are food insecure. She is also a graduate of Milford's Citizens Police Academy. Since March of 2022 she has been a substitute teacher in Milford Public Schools and has seen firsthand the professional and welcoming atmosphere, as well as the caring education of the whole student at work. She has enjoyed a 30-year career in Business Development and Marketing building several well-known food and beverage brands and is now happy to be working locally for the Boys & Girls Club of Milford as the Director of Resource Development. Christina and her husband Buddy were married in 1997 and are the proud parents of Makenna, a 2023 Fairfield University and 2019 Foran H.S. grad, who is a Financial Services Representative at Fidelity Investments; and Matthew, a 2022 graduate of Notre Dame West Haven and 2nd year Carpentry Apprentice with the NASCTF (North Atlantic States Carpenters Trade Fund).
